Coming from Lebanon, Maine, Thomas benefits financially from the Free College program. Without the burden of tuition or student loans, he can focus fully on learning rather than worrying about how to pay for school.

鈥淚t鈥檚 allowed me to save money and not stress about student loans,鈥� Thomas explained. 鈥淚 don鈥檛 have to take as much time off or worry about getting a job just to help pay for classes.鈥�

Hands-On Learning, Real-World Goals

Now preparing for a career as a diesel mechanic, Thomas says the hands-on nature of the Diesel & Automotive Engine Overhaul Program is helping him reach his goals.

鈥淭his program helps me pursue what I want to do by teaching and showing me how to work in a real job setting,鈥� he said.
