Head of College Welcome
Welcome to Grace College, a school community in which we strive to grow our students鈥� learning through discovering their gifts and talents, so as to best fit their unfolding life and inspire them to also serve their community along life鈥檚 journey.
As Head of College, I am passionate about the wholistic education of 抖阴pro, firmly established on and influenced by the Lutheran Education philosophies and traditions, which extend back centuries.
My personal education journey has been heavily influenced by Secondary education in a Lutheran High School, in which I was challenged to embrace my talents, allowing them to shape who I was and positively influence my pathways through careers that not only aligned to my talents but also my interests.
My experience in serving Grace College from 2017 as Head of College very much reflects the experiences I had as a graduate teacher in the 1980鈥檚 at the Rothwell Campus. I found a school that was a caring community for all involved, students, families and staff. Innovative Teaching and Learning was evident in Grace College鈥檚 foundation years as Grace strove to deliver high standards and educational and co-curricular offerings that would best meet the needs of students attending the College. All those years ago Grace College was a faith community in the Lutheran tradition which warmly welcomed people of all faiths and cultures. As Head of College in the Twenty First Century, these are the attributes of Grace College that continue and now serve families in the Moreton Bay region at both Rothwell and Caboolture.
I pay tribute to the founding staff of Grace College and to its staff today. At Grace, we want our students to develop Grit, Growth, and Grace: the Grit to aim for their best outcomes even in difficult times, the Growth that comes from personal development throughout their College journey, and the Grace that inspires them to welcome strangers humbly, serve those in need, and build positive relationships across all generations within the Grace College community.
